Background: The human body is often exposed to various injury risks in work and life, such as frequent injuries to critical parts of the back, chest and knees in extreme sports, head and neck injuries in traffic accidents, and mechanical injuries in industrial production, etc. These injuries not only pose a threat to the health and safety of individuals, but also have a significant impact on society and the economy.

ACF and Hunan University of Science and Technology have jointly created the Mechanical Mechanisms of Human Injury and Protection Laboratory, which aims to reduce and impede impact injuries to the human body by studying the mechanical mechanisms of human injury, i.e., simulating and analysing the distribution of forces and stresses on the human body in different injury scenarios, and developing protective materials that are adapted to different injury risks for use in personal protective equipment, such as protective clothing, helmets, and protective gears, to increase the safety and efficiency of human life safety and work efficiency.
