On March 30, 2026, ACF Soft Valley and Guangzhou Public Transport Group held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement and a joint laboratory awarding ceremony in Guangzhou, marking the official implementation of systematic cooperation between the two parties in the field of comprehensive public transportation. This is also the first time that ACF technology has been fully integrated into the public transportation sector, setting a new benchmark for the application of new materials and technological innovation in the transportation industry.  

This collaboration is the fruit of multiple rounds of in-depth communication and a high degree of consensus between both parties. Xie Zhendong, Chief Engineer of Guangzhou Public Transport Group, and Wang Bowei, Founder of ACF Laboratory, jointly witnessed the signing ceremony. Dong Zhiguo, Wang Xiaogang, and Chen Keli, as representatives of both parties, signed the strategic cooperation agreement. At the ceremony, the Guangzhou Public Transport-ACF Joint Laboratory for Transportation Applications and the Yangchengtong-ACF Joint Laboratory for Innovative Application of New Materials were officially established. The establishment of these two joint laboratories will become the core carriers for technological research and development and the transformation of achievements for both parties, promoting the large-scale and industrialized application of ACF technology in transportation scenarios.  

ACF has been deeply involved in the field of impact protection materials for many years. Its developed ACF artificial cartilage foam material boasts an impact energy absorption capacity of over 97.1%. Relying on the three-dimensional ultra-microstructure mimicking cartilage, it can achieve instantaneous conversion of impact energy into thermal energy, with technical indicators at the leading level. Currently, this material has identified 3,982 applicable products, covering four major scenarios: life body protection, precision body protection, and transportation vehicle protection, providing a solid material foundation for safety upgrades and technological innovations in the transportation field.

In this collaboration, ACF will focus on basic material research and development and core technology breakthroughs, drawing on the ecological cooperation model of leading enterprises, and jointly building a technology application ecosystem with Guangzhou Public Transport Group.  

As a leader in the national public transportation industry, Guangzhou Public Transport Group boasts a wealth of transportation application scenarios, comprehensive industry resources, and a global promotion platform. The Ruyue New Energy Industrial Park it has established has formed a full-industry chain service system for new energy vehicles. In this collaboration, the group will fully leverage its scenario advantages and industrial resources to jointly tackle challenges with ACF around five key directions: in the automotive/transportation protection field, it will carry out integrated body protection and anti-hail and sunscreen renovation to meet the new material needs of new energy vehicle companies such as Xiaopeng; in the new energy battery maintenance field, it will develop soluble/hot-melt adaptive materials to solve the problem of easy damage during battery cell maintenance; at the same time, it will expand application scenarios such as public transportation safety, logistics protection, and smart elderly care, achieving deep integration of technology and scenarios.  

At the signing ceremony, both leaders placed high hopes on this collaboration. Xie Zhendong stated that this cooperation represents a significant breakthrough in technological innovation for Guangzhou Public Transport Group. The group will focus on three major directions: transportation, new energy, and caring services, leveraging its leading position in the industry to promote ACF technology globally. Wang Bowei pointed out that ACF technology, with its mission of "Supporting Life, Making Protection Everywhere," will, through its collaboration with Guangzhou Public Transport Group, establish a full chain from basic research, applied research, engineering, to product commercialization. This collaboration will bring economic, social, and ecological values, and contribute to the national industrial upgrading.  

According to the cooperation plan, both parties will accelerate the promotion and testing of ACF technology in products for public transportation vehicles, new energy batteries, traffic protection, and other scenarios. They will jointly carry out patent applications and the formulation of industry standards, and continue to expand upstream and downstream cooperation channels such as automotive and logistics. Relying on the two joint laboratories, both parties will adhere to the dual drive of basic research and application innovation, carry out technological breakthroughs based on actual traffic scenarios, and promote more scientific and technological innovation achievements from the laboratory to the application site.  

The in-depth cooperation between Guangzhou Public Transport Group and ACF serves as a paradigm for the integrated development of new material technology and the public transportation industry. It will not only enhance the safety, intelligence, and green level of Guangzhou's public transportation, but also provide replicable and scalable experiences for technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the national transportation industry, thereby contributing to the construction of a powerful transportation nation and the cultivation of new productive forces.
