Looking at these three bright, well-equipped laboratories with advanced instruments, it is hard to imagine that their predecessors were just a small room of 12 square meters.

In October 2005, Wang Bowei, chairman of Foshan Linzhi Technology, had just graduated and was traveling in the South China Sea. Because of insufficient travel expenses, Wang Bowei found a local polymer material company to earn money for the return trip. Unexpectedly, what he saw and heard here opened the door for him to experiment with bionic polymer materials, and Guicheng gradually became his "place of peace of mind".

At the beginning, Wang Bowei rented a two-bedroom, one-living room of about 60 to 70 square meters near the Xiaxi Market in Guicheng. Except for the room for living and storing materials, there was only 12 square meters for the laboratory. This is the prototype of the ACF laboratory.

Since the beginning of research in March 2006, with the continuous increase of team research results and quantitative demands for products, and the continuous expansion of the company's site area, Wang Bowei's affection for Nanhai Guicheng has become more and more "deeply rooted".

In 2009, Foshan Linzhi Science and Technology team needed to promote the intermediate test, initially amplify the research results of the laboratory, and then realize mass production. However, Nanhai has a complete range of industries, low cost of achievement transformation, and a solid manufacturing background, which provides a guarantee for the team to produce pilot tests and production equipment.

In 2015, Foshan Linzhi Technology needed to expand the site again, and Wang Bowei and his team members looked around to find the factory. At this moment, a colleague in the team contacted the staff of the government department.

What Wang Bowei didn't expect was that after learning about the company's needs, the staff immediately helped find a suitable factory building with an area of ​​3,900 square meters, which is exactly where the company is now. Immediately afterwards, under the recommendation of the Nanhai District Government, in 2016, Foshan Linzhi Technology was rated as an innovative talent team in Foshan City, and received a total of 12.5 million yuan in support funds at the city, district, and street levels. Later, the technological achievements of Foshan Linzhi Science and Technology received the support of multiple project funds one after another.

Years of deep-rooted emotions, Guicheng's low-key and pragmatic style of work, and considerate government services have further strengthened the determination and confidence of Wang Bowei's team to stay in Guicheng. Here, it has become the place where Wang Bowei lives peacefully.

The rivers favor those who strive

In the laboratory or conference room of Foshan Linzhi Technology, from time to time, several researchers can be seen sitting together "chatting" easily, and they are performing a "brainstorm".

At the end of last year, Wang Xiaogang, deputy general manager of Foshan Linzhi Science and Technology Center, led a research team to start the experiment of improving the transparency of materials. During the experiment, the team encountered a lot of troubles in terms of formula, proportion and other details. Whenever the experiment stalled due to troubles, Wang Xiaogang asked the team members to "stop for a while", and everyone sat together to have a "brainstorm". There are often many new breakthrough points emerging in the process of divergent thinking and inspiration collisions, and the morale of the team is also boosted in a relaxed environment.

"As soon as employees join the company, we will pass on the corporate values ​​of 'creating and protecting customer value' and working methods such as 'making a list' to everyone." Wang Xiaogang introduced that in addition to "brainstorming", the company will also summarize and extract outstanding results. Work methods are taught to employees so that they can avoid detours. Now, each department of Foshan Linzhi Technology has a copy of "Checklist Revolution", which provides employees with ideas for making lists with a large number of cases.

After more than 6 months and thousands of tests, the transparency problem of bionic energy-absorbing materials has been solved. And this is just a small wave in the tens of thousands of experiments and accumulations in the ACF laboratory of Foshan Linzhi Technology for more than ten years.

At present, the ACF technology of Foshan Linzhi Technology has obtained 66 domestic and foreign patents in China, the United States, the European Union, Australia, etc. Talent team, Nanhai brand enterprise and many other honors. ACF technology also won the Gold Award of the British Association of Inventions International Invention and Innovation Exhibition in 2020, the Moscow "Archimedes" International Invention New Technology Gold Award in 2021, and the 8th Guangdong Patent Silver Award in 2022.

After years of exploration and research, the ACF bionic energy-absorbing material developed by Foshan Linzhi Technology has the world's unique characteristics of instantaneous energy absorption of more than 90%, and its performance strength crushes other various cushioning materials. As a multi-scale functional material with micro-nano structure, ACF can be used in a wide range of sports, medical, automotive, aerospace, military, construction, robots, and even clothes, shoes, helmets, protective gear, and home appliances in daily life. As long as it involves impact protection, cushioning and shock absorption, ACF materials can play a role.
